Your instructor will show you how to set up your bike and all the basic cycling moves. You can start off with 4 or 5 tracks and work your way up to a full class.

Glen Ostergaard RPM™ Program Director BODYPUMP® Program Director From Auckland, New Zealand, Glen is the Program Director for both BODYPUMP® and RPM™. With a keen interest in sport, Glen was weight training from a young age (16) when his Dad gave him his first training system and it’s been a natural progression from there, joining Les Mills as an Instructor after he finished uni in 1993. As Program Director, Glen creates the choreography for the releases of BODYPUMP® and RPM™. He then works with Les Mills’ Creative Director to smooth them out and get the right musical feel which includes liaising with the music team. Once this is sorted, he works with the BODYPUMP® and RPM™ Training Directors and the Technical Advisors to finalize the coaching and technique. Put simply, Glen says “I do whatever it takes to make sure each new release blows peoples’ minds!” Once the releases are developed, it’s off to film them and then unleash them on the world, training Instructors globally in how to best deliver the releases.
The better the instructors know the releases, the better they will be able to teach them. Outside of work Glen likes to read and watch movies, “I am a sci-fi fan. I play tennis, go cycling and really enjoy catching up with friends and travelling (which I do a lot of for work).” And his favourite guilty pleasure - definitely strawberry flavoured ice cream. Glen’s personal workout regime involves him teaching six-to-seven classes a week – around three BODYPUMP® classes and four RPM™ classes.
He also does three to four weight training or crossfit sessions a week, runs when he can, and goes for as many bike rides as possible; “I got into bike riding as a result of loving RPM™ so much.” Glen’s advice to Trainers, Presenters and Instructors out there “Lead by example and walk the talk.
