The DIY Brooklyn rapper and producer Ka made the meditative, mythic album, one of last year’s best rap LPs, and he’s already followed it up with the only-available-on-CD EP Now, he’s become the latest artist to participate in this summer’s Adult Swim Singles Series, which has brought us a ton of heat rocks over the last few months. Ka’s contribution is called “Lost Prophet Report,” a bleary psychedelic rap opus with some prime John Carpenter keyboards. It’s both a good example of Ka’s aesthetic and a good example of what he can do when he pushes beyond that aesthetic. Mifare Read Serial Number here. Download it below.
