Unfortunately, the next morning when we were not as weary and able to see more clearly, we found hair under the bathroom sink, in the foyer, and in our beds. It was clear that we were given a room that had not been cleaned properly. That morning during checkout the Front Desk staff member asked how our stay was and I responded, 'I'm so glad you asked.

May I please show you some photos?' After showing her the photos of my room she conceded that the cleaning staff was inundated with guests traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday and that management did not have time that day to quality check the rooms. She added that she was not able to refund our stay but that she would take care of the meals we ate in the restaurant during this stay.

More shocking than the promise: my husband called the hotel yesterday and the same staff member who assisted us during our stay said she was standing next to the General Manager when he called and she claimed 'he never said those words'. If you take a look at my Yelp account you will notice that we've stayed in some of the best hotels across Paris, London, Venice, Brussels, you name it.we are blessed enough to stay where we please and simply expect a clean hotel room. If that is too much to ask then it is the hotel's prerogative to make the situation right. We did not ask for a filthy room or a change in our rewards status. It was first offered by the General Manager.
