Windows Server 2003 SP2 (not R2) X86 with new Win 7 X64 clients - Canon ir1023 and ir2030 LAN attached copiers I'm pretty sure I need to update the existing drivers on the server before I can add X64 drivers for Win 7. I have too many choices!!!! (Plus I don't know what I'm doing!) ir1023 choices: ir2030 choices: Print Manger run from an existing X86 Vista box reports these drivers on the server: Canon iR1018/1022/1023 UFRII LT Windows NT x86 1.60.0.0 Canon Canon iR2022/2025/2030 PCL6 Windows NT x86 6.5.0.0 Canon I'm not sure what UFRII LT is, but it is working. Reading other threads it then looks like I need use Print Manager to add additional drivers and point to the downloaded INF version of the X64 driver. (My 2003 server does not have the Print Manager add-in.) The ir2030 is really confusing.
I guess the drivers with PCL6 are the ones to concentrate on. They have files for the INF, Setup, and 'Generic' whatever that is. Note that neither device is directly attached - they are connected via LAN-TCP/IP. As an aside should we have used the PCL5e drivers instead?
